DANVILLE — The body recovered from the north branch of the Susquehanna River Sunday morning near Danville has been identified as a Scranton woman.

The investigation into the death of Katrina Marie Seguine, 42, continues, the Mahoning Township police and Montour County Coroner Scott Lynn said Tuesday.

The public’s help has been requested regarding Seguine’s activities and whereabouts before her death, they said.

Seguine had not been reported missing, and the pathologist who conducted an autopsy estimated that she had been in the water for several weeks, police said. The cause of death has not been disclosed.

Campers spotted the body of a female at about 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the area of the boat launch on River Drive in the township.
