The Annual Kenai Kite Festival soared into an afternoon of summer fun on Saturday, May 31, drawing hundreds to Millennium Square Park. With clear skies, strong winds, and sunshine, colorful kites of all different shapes and sizes decorated the sky.
Since its debut at Kenai North Beach in 2019, the festival has become a cherished local tradition, bringing families and neighbors together each year for a day of creativity, community, and open-air enjoyment.
A highlight of this year’s event was a kite demonstration by AlasKiters, a group of expert flyers from across Alaska who showcased both their skills and a collection of giant, elaborate kites.
