A Greater Cincinnati family is making a difference in the community by hosting a blood drive at Harrison Elementary School in a boy’s honor.
In 2022, Joe and Krystle Rodriguez started a Hoxworth Blood Drive for their son Ollie, who died in 2024 after battling a rare disease. Advertisement
When Ollie was being treated, his family landed in Cincinnati to receive care at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
Ollie participated in a research study at Cincinnati Children’s with four other boys before he passed away last year.
The blood drive at Harrison Elementary School on Tuesday was held in Ollie’s honor as his family aims to help others.
