MILLINOCKET, Maine —
A massive search effort continued for a missing woman on Maine's Mt. Katahdin Tuesday after the body of her father was found during a search for the pair after they went missing this weekend.
Baxter State Park Rangers said Tim Keiderling, 58, and his daughter Esther Keiderling, 28, both of Ulster Park, New York, were last seen on the Katahdin Tablelands on Sunday at about 10:15 a.m. headed towards the summit of Maine's highest peak.
Park Rangers began searching Monday morning after finding the Keiderlings' vehicle still in the day-use parking lot.
At about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, a Maine Warden K9 found the body of Tim Keiderling near the summit of Mount Katahdin. The search continues for his daughter.
