As was hinted at earlier today , the Mets officially called up infielder Ronny Mauricio to the big league roster. Additionally, left-handed pitcher Brandon Waddell was recalled from Triple-A, right-hander Max Kranick was optioned to Syracuse, and third baseman/designated hitter Mark Vientos was placed on the ten-day Injured List.

This is how our Vasilis Drimalitis summed up Mauricio’s 2025 earlier today:

Mauricio has been scorching hot in Triple-A this season, hitting .515/.564/.818 with three home runs, eight runs batted in, and 10 runs scored in nine games. The Mets have been clear about wanting to give him some additional reps before calling him up, but his torrid pace has likely forced the club’s hand.

Mauricio will wear #10 for the Mets.
