A 44-year-old Lancaster County man will spend three to six years in prison after he pleaded guilty in connection to a fatal 2023 DUI crash .

In March 2023, Jason R. Sauder, of Manheim, struck and killed 87-year-old Sarah Zimmerman after driving through a stop sign at the intersection of West 28th Division Highway and Pumping Station Road in Elizabeth Township.

Zimmerman died of her injuries at the scene. A witness also told investigators Sauder entered the intersection without stopping.

On May 28, Sauder pleaded guilty to homicide by vehicle, homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, two counts of DUI and two summary traffic offenses.
