Attorneys representing a man the Trump administration admittedly deported in violation of a court order are asking for the appointment of a special master who will investigate the “unlawful” removal.
The government admitted to deporting Jordin Melgar-Salmeron in early May, citing “a confluence of administrative errors,” including a breakdown in communications, Law&Crime previously reported .
Now, the man’s attorneys are rejecting those explanations in a letter motion filed Monday with the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
