BRIDGEPORT, OH — Bridgeport Schools will welcome a new resource officer this fall. Michelle Anderson will take over the role following the retirement of longtime officer Harley Johnston.
Anderson brings 27 years of law enforcement experience. She began her career in 1997 with the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office, where she worked in the county jail, as a road deputy, and as a domestic violence investigator. She also served on the SWAT team.
After five and a half years at the county level, she spent more than two decades with the Ohio Investigative Unit before returning to the sheriff’s office. Her new assignment places her at Bridgeport Schools starting next school year.
Anderson visited the school campus on June 3 with Belmont County Sheriff James G. Zusack and Chief Deputy Glenn Moore.
