Two CIF Central Section divisional championships and another banner year for senior Malia Ortiz helped highlight the Santa Ynez 2024-25 school year in athletics.

On Oct. 29, the Santa Ynez girls golf team repeated as Division 2 champion. Exactly two weeks later the Santa Ynez girls tennis squad won the Division 2 championship, the first sectional division championship for a Santa Ynez girls squad.

Ortiz qualified for the CIF Central Section Masters wrestling meet for the second straight time at 110 pounds. The 2025 Northern Santa Barbara County Athletic Round Table (NSBCART) Female Athlete of the Year repeated as Division 2 girls pole vault champion and qualified for the CIF State Track and Field Championships for the second straight time.
