AUSTIN, Minn. — The eastbound ramps of Interstate 90 at 4th Street Northwest in Austin will close on June 4, weather permitting, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT).

At the same time, MnDOT says 4th Street Northwest at 13th Avenue Northwest will reopen to traffic.

Construction crews are replacing underground city water main and storm sewer utilities on 4th Street Northwest between 13th Avenue Northwest and I-90. This section of the road had been closed since May 19 for these upgrades.

Work will continue along 4th Street, and vehicles will use a temporary road on the east side to access businesses like Scooters Coffee, Hardee's, Burger King, and Kwik Trip. Access to these businesses remains open.
