McCORDSVILLE, Ind. — A McCordsville dentist qualified for the 2025 U.S. Open at Oakmont County Club this week.

Matthew Vogt — the founder of The Dentists at Gateway Crossing — shot eight under par in two rounds at Wine Valley Golf Club in Walla Walla, Washington, to secure a spot in the 125th U.S. Open. He shot 4-under-par 68 in both rounds he played.

Brady Calkins of Chehalis, Washington, was the other player that earned a spot in the U.S. Open during qualifying at Wine Valley Golf Club.

According to the practice's website, The Dentists at Gateway Crossing was started by Vogt in 2018 "with the goal of providing quality modern dental care and an exceptional patient experience."
