Incumbent Darrell Berry wins reelection as mayor of Wiggins

WIGGINS, Miss. (WLOX) - Incumbent Independent Darrell Berry has been reelected as the mayor of Wiggins.

Mayor Berry beat Republican Heather Patterson in the race. Berry received 558 votes (66.4%), while Patterson received 282 (33.6%).

Mayor Berry told WLOX News his priorities include improving the city’s infrastructure and bringing better water quality to the city.

“We’ve had some issues with the water tanks,” Mayor Berry explained. “They’re old and worn out, so we concentrate a lot on our sewer system, and as far as water quality, we have good water.”
