LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. (KCTV) - A Lee’s Summit Police Department officer has been discharged from the hospital less than two days after being shot four times by a suspect in a domestic disturbance Sunday night.

The Lee’s Summit Police Department said Officer Jared Timbrook was shot four times while pursuing a suspect on foot Sunday night.

“We are excited to announce that this afternoon, Officer Timbrook was released from the hospital to continue his healing journey at home,” LSPD said Tuesday night. “On behalf of Officer Timbrook and his family along with the men and women of the LSPD, we are thankful for the amazing care that he received and the outpouring of support for him from this amazing community!!”
