GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY — A Kingsley woman was taken to jail after Michigan State Police say she broke into a Blair Township home and then had to be tracked down by a K-9 unit.

MSP says it all went down Tuesday morning when a homeowner saw the woman on his doorbell camera.

He told police the woman then went inside, took several items and then left.

State Police brought in their K-9, Ox, and his handler, Trooper Unterbrink.

They say Ox and Unterbrink were able to track the Kingsley woman down in thick vegetation after a five-mile pursuit.

She was arrested and taken to the Grand Traverse County jail and is expected to face multiple charges.
