GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Alachua County Public School officials aren’t taking any action for now on a contract with Newberry Charter School.
Tuesday night, school board members unanimously voted to table the contract after some members expressed concerns that they didn’t have enough time to review it.
The school board’s attorney says the contract is based on a standard template drafted by the Florida Department of Education.
School officials say the contract doesn’t affect their petition to stop the conversion of Newberry Elementary into a charter school.
