CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian in south Charlotte.

The incident occurred shortly before 11 p.m. Tuesday night at the exit of I-485 and South Blvd.

Police did not provide any information on the deceased or what led up to the crash.

The exit going into Pineville is currently closed. No word yet on when the exit will reopen.

Officials are asking drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
