A Texas man was arrested for allegedly trespassing at Mar-a-Lago early morning on Tuesday, telling law enforcement that he wanted to "spread the gospel" to President Trump and marry the commander-in-chief's granddaughter.

Anthony Thomas Reyes, 23, was arrested by the Palm Beach Police Department for "unlawfully entering" the Mar-a-Lago Club, Trump's resort in Palm Beach, Fla., according to the Secret Service.

“Shortly after midnight, the individual scaled a perimeter fence and triggered alarms. U.S. Secret Service personnel detained him without incident at the scene. Palm Beach Police officers responded to the scene and took the individual into custody, charging him with occupied trespassing,” a Secret Service spokesperson told The Hill in an emailed statement on Tuesday.
