TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - A driver was rescued after crashing into the Pantano Wash in Tucson on Tuesday, June 3.

The Tucson Fire Department said it happened near East 29th Street around 3:30 p.m.

The TFD said the driver crashed into the wash, and the vehicle landed upside down.

The driver was wearing their seatbelt and suffered only minor injuries, according to the TFD.

The TFD said crews used a “hot seat” to get the person out of the wash.

“This incident is a powerful reminder that seatbelts save lives,” the TFD said. “Buckle up -- every trip, every time.”
