With the number of measles cases in the U.S. now over 1,000, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has changed its policy on travelers getting the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine before leaving the country.

Previously, the CDC only recommended being vaccinated when traveling to countries where there is a measles outbreak. Now, they say all international travelers 1 year old and up should get two doses of the MMR vaccine.

The CDC is also saying now that infants as young as 6 months may need a dose of the vaccine before boarding an international flight.
