EXIRA, Iowa —

Regional Water Rural Water Association said test samples from Exira, Brayton and Earling came back clear on Tuesday, and the boil advisory in those communities is now lifted.

Exira city officials said while they're happy the boil advisory has been lifted, they still face long-term questions about water sustainability and service.

On May 10, Regional Water Rural Water Association customers in ten different communities , including Exira, were placed under a boil water advisory and shortly after placed under the strictest water use restrictions. At the time, the RWRWA said it was due to excessive demand and the Avoca Treatment Plant System losing pressure.
