SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii (Island News) -- Schofield soldier Dewayne Johnson II was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter of his wife Mischa Johnson on Tuesday among a number of other charges in connection to her July 2024 disappearance.

The Army Private First Class Soldier agreed to take a plea deal following accusations of murdering Mischa and her unborn child. In Wheeler Army Courthouse on June 3, 2025, Dewayne pled guilty to over a dozen charges during his guilty plea. When testifying, he admitted to hitting Mischa with a machete in their Schofield home on July 12, 2024.
