ROCHESTER, Minn.- The Rochester Airport Commission approved several multimillion dollar bids for airport renovation projects on Tuesday, June 4, including an over $12 million bid for renovations and expansion of its general aviation facilities main ramp and runways.
According John Reed, Executive Director of the airport, the general aviation facilities managed by Signature Flight Support have seen the occasional repair, but after 30 years without replacing the pavement, the project is long overdue.
The facility is regularly used by private plane owners in the city, and to maintain quality of the facilities, the project is aiming to make several improvements.
