David Snyder had been riding motorcycles for more than 50 years, so he knew how to be careful.
But on Memorial Day, the 69-year-old and his longtime partner were riding together through Dauphin County back to their home in Perry County, something happened on the road that he could not avoid.
He was involved in a collision on South Front Street in Steelton with two vehicles around 3:25 p.m. on May 26 . The crash killed him and his partner of 30 years, Bessie Zuna, 48. Police have released few details about the circumstances of the crash, but Steelton police said it involved a northbound vehicle and a southbound vehicle, as well as Snyder’s motorcycle.
Snyder’s niece Debi Weir-Shepley said they suspect another vehicle caused the crash, and her 69-year-old uncle didn’t have time to react
