Zak Starkey — a prolific drummer and the son of Ringo Starr himself — made headlines recently after getting fired from The Who. Twice .
He’s seen recently revealed that another iconic band purportedly won’t have him back for their upcoming reunion tou r, either.
Starkey stated during a recent interview with BBC Breakfast that Oasis — whom he drummed for from 2004 through 2008 — didn’t invite him to perform as the group embarks on its ” Oasis Live ’25 ” tour. Joey Waronker — who worked previously with Oasis lead singer Liam Gallagher along with other acts such as Beck and R.E.M. — will be the percussionist instead.
“I texted them and said, ‘Why am I not in it?’” Starkey said.
