EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — After recently opening dozens of stores in May, the discount retail chain Big Lots has announced plans to open more than 70 additional stores this Thursday.

The company says the new openings will take place across nine states, including Kentucky.

Big Lots filed for bankruptcy last year and closed dozens of locations — including several here in the Tri-State area.
