SANDUSKY, Ohio (WJW) – The City of Sandusky is celebrating classic comedy “Tommy Boy” with a festival as it marks 30 years since its debut.
“Tommy Boy” was famously directed by Peter Segal and filmed in the Sandusky area, along with other locations.
In the movie, Tom “Tommy Boy” Callahan III, played by Chris Farley, and Richard Hayden, played by David Spade, hit the road to try and save his late father’s company, “Callahan Auto Parts” in Sandusky, Ohio.
Tommy Boy Fest will be held August 7-9. It will kick off on Aug. 7 with Destination Sandusky’s weekly Party at the Pier event at Jackson Street Pier with a show from The Menus, a popular Ohio rock band.
