WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) - The controversial tax and spending bill is backed by President Donald Trump and now, tech billionaire Elon Musk is speaking out against the plan.

Musk isn't holding back. He's not only slamming the bill but also calling out lawmakers who voted for it. Meanwhile, the White House is standing firm behind the president's plan.

Less than a week after being praised by President Trump as a key ally, Musk is now publicly blasting the president's sweeping budget bill, calling it a 'disgusting abomination.'"

"The president already knows where Elon Musk stood on this bill doesn't change. The president's opinion. This is one big, beautiful Bill and he's sticking to it,” said White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
