Actress Lea Thompson celebrated her recent birthday in the most “ Back to the Future ” way possible. In a carousel of images posted to Instagram, she included a little bit of her past — her movie co-stars, including Michael J. Fox — and a little nod to the future — her granddaughter.

Thompson, who turned 64 on May 31, took on a new role this year: grandmother.

Four-month-old granddaughter Robbie June Carlisle is prominently featured in the photos of Thompson's "beautiful birthday days." In a nod to the pivotal "Back to the Future" bedroom scene, baby Robbie looks adorable in her Calvin Klein underwear.
