LUBBOCK, Texas — Fifteen-year-old Jazmin Calderon, who was on life support after sustaining major injuries in a neighborhood fight in Midland on May 20 , passed away on Sunday, the family said on Tuesday.

The neighborhood fight Jazmin was involved in happened along Weatherford Street in Midland. A video shared with NewsWest 9 appears to show Jazmin collapse behind a truck.

She was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital before being taken to a Lubbock hospital.

Jazmin's mother, Janelle Calderon, said she had head trauma and pelvic injuries.

“No mother should ever see their child like that,” Janelle Calderon said. “It doesn’t matter how big or small — no one should go through this.”
