DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Higher rain chances are likely beginning today and continuing over the next week
A storm system over Florida will move into our area this afternoon, bringing on-and-off repeated rounds of heavy rain and a few storms. The highest rain chances will be between 12 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The main hazard today is minor, localized, isolated flooding where downpours and storms train, or move over repeatedly.
The storm system will linger tomorrow and depart Friday, keeping afternoon showers and storms in the forecast.
While severe weather is not currently forecast through the end of the workweek, we might have to watch Saturday and Sunday.
