A UK student has been left "fuming" after discovering the location of her mystery holiday.

Cara Pyper, 23, from Derry, Northern Ireland explained how disappointed she was upon opening her Wowcher mystery holiday, which revealed she was travelling to an area she knew very well - her university city.

The education student at Queen Margaret University had lived in Edinburgh for four years, when she spent £129 on the getaway, hoping that she would be able to fly out to a surprise destination outside of the UK.

She said: "I saw the Wowcher master holiday on social media and impulsively decided to do it for a cheap holiday.

"I was honestly happy with anywhere as long as it wasn't the UK. I opened it in Edinburgh because that's where I've been living for the past four years."
