GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Law enforcement officials are cracking down on a growing crime in the Upstate called “jugging.”

Jugging is a targeted crime where suspects often work in teams to rob victims or break into their vehicles shortly after they withdraw money from their bank or ATM.

Simpsonville Police have arrested two suspects involved in multiple “jugging” incidents in the area.

On Thursday, May 29, police said officers were called to an incident on Spring Leaf Court. Officers said an undisclosed amount of money was stolen.

They were able to identify two suspects in all the incidents: 32-year-old Chelsea Deon River and 25-year-old Roland Charles III. Both were arrested and charged with breaking into a vehicle, conspiracy and petty larceny.
