Transitioning from an immensely busy work life to retirement depends on the person and their approach to life. For Gail Wood of Pownal, who retired from working in the medical record sector in the Boston area, it is about finding her new community and those aspects that appeal to her. She sat down with the Banner on the subject of senior living to talk about her path, her loves and using her talents in this new chapter in life.

Wood explains that she grew up in Brookline, Mass., “which is actually surrounded by the city of Boston.” She went to school in Connecticut for a year then lived down on the Cape, lived in Wellesley and then eventually in Tyngsborough.
