CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. (WBTV) - Officials will give the latest updates Wednesday morning regarding the investigation into the June 1 mass shooting in Catawba County.

Officials initially said they would speak around 10 a.m., but the news conference could happen later. When they do talk to the media, their remarks will be streamed live in the top of this story.

Because the investigation is still unfolding and some details are not yet publicly known, information may be fluid.

Where things stand

Shawn Hood, who was 58 years old, was the only person killed in the weekend shooting. Eleven other people were hurt.
