PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- Police in Prince George's County said part of Crain Highway is closed after an officer was involved in a crash Wednesday morning.
The collision happened shortly after 9 a.m. near Missouri Avenue. Details are limited; however, police told DC News Now that the crash involved a vehicle and a police officer's motorcycle.
Two people who were inside the vehicle were not hurt. The officer was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
First responders urge drivers to avoid the area and find alternative routes until the crash is cleared.
