Like many of her counterparts in women’s basketball, UCF coach Sytia Messer is still trying to figure out how best to navigate the tumultuous waters that are college athletics.

To that point, it’s been nothing short of a tsunami over the past few years, with the transfer portal and name, image, and likeness (NIL) now adding impending revenue-sharing in the wake of the House settlement, creating a swirling mess of chaos.

For Messer, who wrapped up her third season with the Knights, it’s certainly been challenging.
