HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - One of the 10 people shot in a Memorial Day weekend shooting in Little River wants to address the media on Wednesday.
Jeremy Evans and his civil rights attorney, Tyler Bailey, are expected to speak at 11 a.m. at the pier off Watson Avenue where the shooting happened.
A media release states that Evans was one of the 100-plus people on a party boat that docked in Little River on May 25. Police said an argument took place, which led to shots being fired at the dock.
Evans said that he was shot in the ankle and is having difficulty walking after undergoing surgery.
Evans’ attorney, Bailey, said his firm is running its own “independent investigation” into the shooting.
