HERNANDO, Miss. (WMC) - DeSoto County District Attorney Matthew Barton is holding a press conference about a fatal shooting at an apartment complex earlier this year in Hernando.

During the conference, Barton will provide an update regarding the ongoing case of Edrick Thornton, who is accused of murder in Hernando.

Edrick Thornton, 49, is now being held at the DeSoto County Detention Center without bond and is facing a murder charge.
