FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man is dead after he was hit by a vehicle that left the scene early Wednesday morning in southeast Fresno, according to the Fresno Police Department.

Police say around 4:50 a.m., officers responded to Olive and Rowell avenues after a 911 call of a person lying in the roadway who was bleeding.

When Officers arrived, they found a man who appeared to be in his 30s who had been struck by a vehicle that left the area, according to police.

The man was transported to a local hospital, where he died.
