GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Greenville Police Department said two teens have been charged for breaking into and damaging the Peace Center in downtown Greenville.

According to the department, on May 23, an officer responded to a burglary report with malicious damage at the Peace Center’s Gunter Theater, located on South Main Street. Upon arrival, she learned the suspects had broken through a chain-link fence and forced open a plywood door.

Police said once inside, the suspects used construction ladders to access the rooftop and enter the theatre. Inside the theatre, they caused several thousand dollars’ worth of damage destroying control boards, projectors, laptops, routers and even damaging drywall and frames.
