BREMERTON, Wash. — An 18-year-old has been arrested after stabbing his 16-year-old brother to death on Monday, the Bremerton Police Department announced.

The BPD said officers were sent to the 200 block of S. Cambrian Ave around 6:33 p.m. after receiving reports of an assault.

Upon arrival, they found the younger brother had succumbed to his stabbing injuries despite emergency aid efforts.

The victim's older brother was detained at the scene and arrested.

He has been booked into jail on charges of second-degree murder, with the case classified as domestic violence.

The Bremerton Police Department has not released any other information about the suspect or details on the circumstances.
