PHOENIX, Arizona (WKBN) - ESPN's Shams Charania is reporting that the Phoenix Suns are hiring Cleveland Cavaliers assistant Jordan Ott as their new head coach.
Ott just completed his first season with the Cavaliers under Cleveland head coach Kenny Atkinson.
Prior to his time in Cleveland, he spent the previous two seasons as an assistant coach on Darvin Ham’s staff with the Los Angeles Lakers.
In addition to serving as an assistant with the Lakers, Ott was previously an assistant with the Atlanta Hawks (2013-16) and Brooklyn Nets (2016-22).
Johnnie Bryant, another current Cavaliers assistant coach, was also a finalist for the Phoenix head coaching job.
