PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Pawtucket Police Department said that Curvin-McCabe Elementary School was put into lockdown after a man with a gun was reported outside the school.

Officers responded to the area around 10:30 p.m. to search the area.

After reviewing surveillance footage, police determined the suspect had left the area from a nearby residential driveway on a three-wheeled motorcycle.

The department said the suspect was located but no firearm was found.

“This incident was in close proximity to the school, but the male had no direct involvement or interaction with the school or any of the students and teachers,” the department said.

There was no threat to the school after the lockdown was lifted.
