WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Butler Hospital and striking union employees are returning to the negotiation table Wednesday.

This comes as the president of Butler Hospital, Mary Marran said the facility is starting to look for permanent replacement employees .

Marran said, in compliance with federal law, Butler will not allow striking workers back to work once the strike ends if their job is filled.

Instead, they’ll be placed on a waitlist.

The union responded calling the move both immoral and illegal.
