WEST WILDWOOD — The Board of Commissioners will consider contracting with an outside police department to cover overnight shifts for its understaffed and overstressed police.
“In order to support our officers and provide the policing services each and every resident of West Wildwood deserves, we have engaged in discussions with neighboring municipalities to assist our police department by providing night shift coverage,” said Jane Di Mattia, the borough’s commissioner of public safety, in a statement.
