SHREVEPORT, La. - Friday marks the 81st anniversary of D-Day.

America's National WWII Museum in New Orleans is celebrating this pivotal moment in history by honoring the WWII generation, reflecting on the Museum’s impact, and plan to educate and inspire audiences for generations to come.

Retired Army Col. Peter Crean, vice president of education and access at the National WWII Museum, joined KTBS 3 Wednesday to talk more about the museum's work documenting the memories, preserving the artifacts, and sharing stories of courage, resilience, and sacrifice.

The Museum’s expansive collections of more than 300,000 artifacts and over 12,000 personal accounts from members of the WWII generation.
