SUFFOLK COUNTY, N.Y. (PIX11) – A Long Island man is accused of strangling and stabbing his girlfriend in front of her child with developmental disabilities, a Long Island District Attorney announced Wednesday.
“Domestic violence causes deep and lasting harm,” said District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney. “My office is here to stand with survivors and take strong action against abusers.”
The DA did not name the accused to protect the identity of his victims. The district attorney's office said that the defendant is a 33-year-old male from Coram, N.Y..
