BELLMEAD, Texas (KWTX) - Police arrested Daniel Feland, 24, after bizarre incident that left a cat with a serious spinal injury, an arrest warrant states.

On June 2, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1000 block of Dosset Street in Bellmead to investigate the animal cruelty case.

The residents of the home told the officers they watched home camera footage and noticed that Feland showed up at their residence at about 1 a.m.

Feland, according to the warrant, is seen in the footage knocking on the front door while carrying a small kitten that belonged to one of the residents in the home.

“After not getting an answer at the door, Feland is seen throwing the kitten in the air, causing the kitten to land on the roof of the house” police wrote in the warrant.
