PINE BLUFF, Ark. — Arkansas State Police are currently investigating the Pine Bluff Parks and Recreation Department after reports of possible "irregular activity."

"Last week, actually, I had a sit-down with Mayor Flowers, and we discussed what they had learned and what was going on at parks and recreation regarding some missing funds and a potential theft of those funds," explained Kyle Hunter, the Jefferson County District Attorney.

Hunter explained how he was the one who alerted state police of the possible crimes.

"Initially, it was thought that maybe it wasn't. We didn't know how big it was, but once, after visiting with that a little bit, we determined that it was of such a size that we probably ought to get the state police involved to investigate it for multiple reasons. One is
