WASHINGTON, D.C. – A Centers for Disease Control and Prevention official has resigned from her role overseeing updates to COVID-19 vaccine recommendations. This decision follows an order from Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to update the agency’s guidance.
The official resigned on Friday, the same day the Department of Health and Human Services announced the removal of the CDC recommendation for pregnant women and healthy children to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
